Case Study 1
Challenge:

A department within the government has an application that collects debt for all of it’s agencies. The monthly process takes 18 hours to load the updated debt from the previous month on a daily basis. The Business Analyst is unable to analyze the percentage of debt collected from the previous day within an 8 hour work day.

Solution:

After careful analysis of the overall load process, a snapshot of the debt from the previous day was compared to the new debt which isolated the change in the debt collected vs. the outstanding debt. The change in the debt collected was isolated in a separate load file each day to process as the new load file thus reducing the processing time to an astounding 3 hours, which allowed the Business Analyst plenty of time to perform their analysis as well as address data anomalies identified before the next load process completed.

Case Study 2
Challenge:

The executive leadership wanted to visualize the performance of all its agencies in a single dashboard that could be visualized in near real-time. The ability to visualize the performance of each business unit allows leadership the ability to make intelligent decisions that will impact the overall organization with a much broader scope.

Solution:

Using the dBase Fast Track methodology, an enterprise data warehouse was designed to extract data from all of the major business units, apply specific business rules associated with the agencies functionality and produce the key performance indicators in as close to real-time as the availability of the data using graphs, charts, narratives and graphics based on the executive requirements for presentation.

Case Study 3
Challenge:

A professional services organization needs to track all of the expenditures within each of it’s business units to determine where the profit loses are generated and make the necessary adjustments at-a-glance.

Solution:

Using modern analytical software tools, the source data exported from the respective accounts were visualized in stacked bar charts by category to identify the expenses that need to be eliminated or better managed to increase profit and reduce loses.
